Well, I'm in love with this idea!! A way to help me be accountable to my selfish sewing; this includes my swaps. After all. With my newly found busy scheadule I need to make some time for me too. Not just time, productive time. The kind that helps me be creative and productive so I'm not a beast after being a couch potato. Last year, after my sister in law introduced me to Lindsay Conner on Facebook. I became part of the instabee hives. This led me to Instagram, where I was able to join almost 20 mini swaps. I had a blast. With some new friends and knowledge under my belt I am ready for 2016, I just need more organization. So here is my list of to do: top Left: This is a secret personal swap I need to finish quilting and binding. Top middle another mini swap Top Right is a new car seat cover for my itty bitty Bottom Left is for curtains in my family room Bottom Middle are some place mats for my mom finally bottom right is for a pillow.... Sewing a Circle Tutorial

Hello, I decided to open by teaching you how to sew a circle. When I decided to make my first quilt I really liked circles and thought it would be super easy. But to my surprise there really was nothing out there on how to do it and I didn't know much about sewing. However I was very fortunate to have a great friend who knew how and was willing to teach me. Cristy Fincher is a great quilter and has her own tutorials on Youtube as well as a online shop full of great tools and patterns to help you get going as well. You can find her at http://purpledaisiesquilting.com/ Now for this tutorial I used a pattern out of the Modern Bee: 13 Quilts to Make With Friends by Lindsay Conner. In the book they use pins to pin the circle and sew. I do not like pins, they are not friends with my finger tips and I find that my finished product has lots of puckers.
